As part of her project investigating the use of narrative fiction and storytelling to galvanize action to address the causes and consequences of humanitarian crises, in Episode 8 of her podcast series, Ruth Mwkuana talks about ‘Deserted’ by Erato Ioannou. ‘Deserted’ was shortlisted for the 2019 Commonwealth Short Story Prize, and features Erato’s most recent short story collection Not in the Ornamental Teapot.
